Magic in a Bottle

~Bruichladdich Black Art 06.1~

Overview: Where can I even start with this one? 26 Years old... that's older then me. When I had my first sip of this at a tasting event, I was blown away, utterly speechless.

Personal Tasting Notes:
Nose: The first nose will leave you in awe. Unable to form words for what you just smelled. When diving in a second time, the Whisky shows notes of dark fruits like dates, raisins or plumbs. Then there's the spiciness of the oak. With each nose there is another layer opening up. After some time the typical Bruichladddich lemon shows up. This is a nose to live in. Give yourself and the Whisky time to dig into the layers.

Taste: Just like the nose, the first sip is magnificent. The dark fruits from the nose are there in the taste, alongside the oak spice an dark/bitter chocolate. With some time and a splash of water there is a honey and some lighter fruit notes.

This Whisky needs time. One dram will last you 1-2 hours of tasting new things and trying to get behind the alchemy and the dark secret of this spirit.
