The Valley of the Deer
~Glenfiddich 12 Years Old~
Overview: To me, the Glenfiddich 12 is one of the best stepping stones into the world of Whisky. Beautifully crafted, it is very elegant and gives a great insight into the Speyside Flavours. Even as a self-proclaimed Peathead and Islay-Lover I do enjoy a dram of Glenfiddich to chill out and enjoy.
Personal Tasting Notes:
Nose: The Whisky opens with a burst of fresh fruits. I smell Apples, Pears and a vanilla like sweetness. To me, it is a very welcoming and enjoyable nose making me longing for the first sip.
Taste: The fruitiness continues into the taste. Those light fruits taste ripe and fresh and are mixed into notes of caramel fudge and a slight hint from the oak barrels.
